H&M shirt – Asos skirt – New Look wedges – Springfield purse – J. Crew necklace – YSL ring
On Friday night, me and about 2000 other people attended the Second Hand Second Life show in Brussels. The show is a charity event, where Belgian designers such as Filles à Papa, Monsieur Bul and Natan use second hand clothing to create new designs. After the show, people can bid on the pieces and the money goes to a charity that helps out young homeless people. Definitely a great initiative to say the least. I wasn’t sure what to expect, but it turned out to be a huge event with a lot of beautiful creations. This was the 9th edition of the Second Hand Second Life and they managed to raise 28.650 Euros with the auction. Hopefully the 10th edition will be even more successful!
This is what I wore for the night, thanks to my name-pal Kim for the pictures! As you can see, I’m really putting in some effort into that whole “walking in heels”-thing. Wedges are like training heels :) I sort of had a love-hate relationship with my outfit, but I didn’t have time to change my mind so I just went for it. The gold color of the ring seems a bit off in the pictures, but whatever. What do you think of my choice?
BACKSTAGE & SHOW
Thanks to Tom & Stijn from Pure for letting us go backstage, it’s always fun to see what kind of action goes down before the show. We hung out there a bit too long, which meant almost all the seats were taken by the time we got back. Due to some miscommunication, our front-row seats were already gone so we weren’t in the best position to take pictures. Anyway, no biggie of course but as you know: my little camera can only do so much :)
