Twenty Eleven

30 12 2011 / BY Brunette Blogging

2011 has been good to me. This blog took me places I had never expected and landed me jobs I’ve always dreamed of. Kind of crazy if you think about it! Last year, I was hoping for all of these things to happen and they actually did. Here’s to 2012 being even better! Let me take you back and go over some of the best moments of 2011 for me…

The magazines I’ve written for so far. Yes, it still makes me giddy to see my name in there. The goal for 2012 is to make this pile even bigger.
I’ve been working for Showroom86 for about a month now, on a big project that will be online soonish. The job entails lots of writing and being surrounded by beautiful clothes all day (unfortunately I can’t take them home).

Let’s look at some facts and figures, shall we? This year, 138 762 of you visited me , which was good forĀ 392 417 page views. Thank you, come again! Can’t forget to say thanks to my 508 Bloglovin, 565 Facebook and 883 Twitter followers too! Interested in last year’s numbers? (Big difference, even though those aren’t stats from an entire year) Check them out here.

2011 was full of very cool features, and whether they were in magazines, on TV or on websites, every single one of them made me happy. Take a look at all of them here.

To end my last post of the year in style, I wanted to end with some resolutions for next year. Of course, I looked back at last year’s blog resolutions to see if I managed to fulfill those in the first place! To be honest, I feel like I’ve only succeeded in 2 out of 4, being number one (taking outfit pictures outside) and 3 (thinking about creative content for the blog). The other two (improving camera + webdesign skills) are still on my resolutions list for this year, and I’ll add “finding a balance between work/blogging/social life” to it as well. Thank you for visiting and hopefully you’ll be around as much in 2012. Happy New Year!

Season Recap

28 12 2011 / BY Brunette Blogging

It’s the end of the year, which means it’s time for an outfit recap! Now, you may think: Kim, you lazy blogger! Just show us a new outfit instead of the ones we’ve already seen, but I think recaps are fun! The Internet is such a fast medium, people look at posts so quickly and this way all that hard work gets another chance to be in the spotlight :) This year, I picked out four of my favorites from each season, narrowing it down was hard enough, but here you go! Tell me, do you still remember these and which ones are your favorites? Check out my recap from last year here (and notice the difference in backgrounds).
