Dublin, a place I’ve never been and wasn’t quite sure what to expect of. Turns out it’s like a smaller, cozier version of London – or at least that’s the impression it left on me. The Christmas spirit seemed to be present everywhere, and since I’m not a Grinch, I quite loved that vibe! The lovely lights, the friendly people and the fun company I was in made this press trip one of my favorites so far. I’ll show you more pictures soon of the Primark-part of the trip, but I wanted to kick things off with some of my favorite Dublin impressions. On the second day, we went on a little tour with le cool Dublin (hence the title), which is basically a tour that takes you to the hotspots of the moment instead of the historical buildings in the city. Fun, albeit a little short – but that probably had something to do with our limited time schedule.
So, where did we go and what did we see? We stayed at the lovely Merrion hotel and went for dinner at Bite (oh, yum – the brownie dessert is still on my mind). The next morning, the hilarious and friendly tour guides took us to Molloy & Dowling, a place to go if you’re into vintage glasses and other marvelous stuff. Next up was the Damson Diner, which seemed like a very cool place – even in the morning when it was closed and there were no people. They have a private dining area that you can rent (the picture with the mirror) and to quote the owner “they’ll just close the door and you can do whatever you want in there, we won’t look”. Well, okay. Another cool feature? The wall pattern that changes with the light, basically something that could keep me entertained all night. Next up: the fashion part of the trip!
