All the small things. If you want to be a blogger, you need tools. I started out with a small camera and a slow computer (oh, the memories) but invested in better equipment along the way. Yet sometimes, you get to test out some of the equipment first! As you’ll see below, I’ve got the big guns covered – a good laptop and an awesome camera are the most important tools for me – but these aren’t convenient when you’re on the go or traveling somewhere. Enter: the portable blogging tools. Since my own notebook is sadly sort of resting in peace I tested out the way fancier Samsung Series 5 Ultra Touch, which is very light and thin – aka perfect to put in your bag, you hardly know it’s there. A fun extra feature for bloggers is the touchscreen, you can simply scroll away through all your pictures – easy peasy! Did I mention it’s also available in hot pink?
When I’m not in the mood to carry my heavy camera (don’t call me lazy, that thing basically dislocates your shoulder if you carry it around all day) I’m lucky enough to fall back on the Nikon 1. Always fits in your purse, has the possibility to change lenses and the ability to take some amazing pictures as well. Look, it snapped these awesome pictures of me standing on the Brooklyn Bridge!
The big guns. When I’m in my normal day-to-day routine, I prefer to use these blogging tools – big and heavy, but you can’t argue with the added quality they bring to the blogging table. My Asus laptop has an 18.4 inch screen, so that thing is basically bigger than me. Not really portable, but great to use around the house (and perfect for editing and storing all your pictures – 1TB storage space, y’all).
And of course, I could never forget my Canon 60D with the 50 mm 1.8 lens – the essence of my blogging existence since it provides most of the beautiful pictures (am I allowed to say that?) you see around here. I still remember the very first outfit pictures that were taken with this camera, and I haven’t regretted bringing this baby into my life every since. Quite the investment, but completely worth it. Hope you enjoyed the summary of my blogging tools! Blog on.
