Wouldn’t it be fun if beauty products were actually part of your interior? That thought that occurred to me when I was looking for a nice setting to shoot these products, hence the outcome. You know I’m not a beauty guru, but I enjoy using products that make me look better nonetheless – as do most women I assume. Since I’m lucky enough to have the opportunity to test a lot of things, I thought it was about time for a show and tell of some of my recent favorites.
Batiste dry shampoo. Ahh, dry shampoo – the lifesaver of all (wo)mankind. I think any person with straight bangs will have a standard stock of this product. The original Batiste was actually the first dry shampoo I’ve ever used, so I’ve been familiar with these for quite some time. The original one does what it’s supposed to do, the XXL will give you that extra volume and the one with flowers looks really good in your interior (and smells good too).
John Frieda Brilliant Brunette. Boys and (mostly) girls, meet my favorite hair care products! Not only do they fit my blog name perfectly, I love the way they smell and what they do to my hair. I’ve used my fair share of this shampoo and conditioner before, but I’m curious to see the full effect by adding the oil elixir and deep conditioner to my hair care treatment. In conclusion, these products make me feel like Goldilocks, only with brown hair.
Cleanse, tone and hydrate. If there’s one thing I always do, it’s clean my skin and brush my teeth before I go to bed – no matter what time it is. The cleansing foam by Caudalie is super fun since it looks like toner in the bottle but turns into foam when it comes out (yes, I’m easy to please). Also, smells like grapes and sage! The L’Occitane toner is something I’ll use when I’m more lazy and just go for the everyday make-up remover + toner combo. Always good for a fresh feeling. After cleansing comes hydrating, and a nice option after the toner is this hydration cream with organic angelica water and essential oil.
Eternal youth. If I ever discover a way to stop aging, I’ll let you know – but for now, we’ll just have to fake it with beauty products and make-up. This Radical Skincare revitalizing mask is something I discovered recently and is good for use if you feel like your skin needs a little extra boost. I’m 26 going on 27 (gasp) and this product is suited for the ladies who are starting to worry about their first wrinkles. Last but not least, the Babor anti-aging BB eye cream. I always use concealer under my eyes, so when it does that and promises an anti-aging effect, it’s basically a win-win for me.
