Mojito, a cocktail loved by many and preferably enjoyed during a summer BBQ with the sun shining on your face – or is that just me? I wanted to try a little variant of this famous cocktail and the beautiful world of Pinterest quickly led me to the grapefruit mojito. An easy, fresh alternative with a somewhat healthy touch (and you know, it looks pretty too).
Things you’ll need: white rum, sparkling water, grapefruit juice, liquid cane sugar, fresh mint, one red grapefruit, lime, ice and a healthy thirst.
How to make it: put the grapefruit, lime, liquid cane sugar, grapefruit juice, rum and mint together in a shaker and – here comes the obvious part – shake it. I did this without using strict doses, just a bit of everything thrown together will do – if you like it stronger, add more rum. If you like it sweeter, add more sugar. No rocket science here. Pour the mixture in a glass of your liking, add some sparkling water and finish off with the ice. Now enjoy your grapefruit mojito!
