New York, New York. Also known as The Big Apple and the place I’ll be visiting again next month. This trip marks my fourth visit to the city that never sleeps, and the fact that I’m still very excited to go back only proves that one can really never get enough of New York City. During my three previous visits, I’ve already checked quite a few things off the NYC bucket list – but there’s always more things left to do. I’m planning to do some more research before I leave, but if you have more tips on awesome things to do-see-eat (maybe a little more off the beaten path), don’t hesitate to share. These are some of my favourites that I’ve experienced so far.
Brooklyn bridge. Note to self: revisit this one to take a stroll since construction works were going at the time, which pretty much obstructed the full view.
The streets (and shops) of Soho are always worth another visit, since this is such a fun and pretty neighborhood! Also in the must-visit area category: West Village, Chelsea, Meatpacking district, Tribeca, Chinatown, Little Italy.
Statue of Liberty, check. Other important tall ones that have been checked off the list include Empire State building, Rockefeller Center, the Flatiron building and the Chrysler building.
Central Park. One simply can’t go to NYC without experiencing this famous (and gigantic) park at least once.
Having afternoon tea at the beautiful Mandarin Oriental hotel and enjoy this view.
Others that have been checked off and enjoyed are experiencing the hustle and bustle of Times Square, trying all the delicious food at the Chelsea market, Bryant Park, Grand Central station, shopping on Fifth Avenue or in the ginormous outlet that is Century 21, taking a trip to see Carrie’s street / apartment (SATC geek, me?), seeing a Broadway musical and a visit to the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
