Truth is, you never really know what you’re gonna get when you’re traveling. Sure, it can all look amazing before you go but that doesn’t always mean it will be. Except, in this case it truly was. For about three weeks, we basically spent our time in paradise. I’m so happy with the route (Bohol, Siquijor and Dumaguete) we chose (but am certainly convinced there are others that would be equally great – you just have to start somewhere), since it meant we got to enjoy the beauty of the island in different ways. There was plenty of lush jungle-like nature, palmtrees everywhere you looked, stunning waterfalls (that were often free to enjoy just by our lonesome selves), white picturesque beaches and an underwater life that made you want to go snorkeling each day. I even went diving for the first time!
Honestly, I can gush on about our trip for hours but I will let these first pictures do some of the talking and will save the rest of my love for upcoming posts.
