Oh – that’s right, I went to Berlin and hardly talked about it here. During the last days of summer, I went on a little girls weekend to this green, vibrant city and it was so much fun! It was my first time visiting, and even though we only had two days I still feel like we did and saw so many things, and got a good first feel of what this city has to offer. I still have quite some catching up to do when it comes to travel content but I’ll start with one of my favorite spots we visited during our stay: a rooftop bar! If you ever go to Berlin during the warmer months (or on a sunny autumn day), I’d suggest you go and check out this place for a nice view over the city, some tanning and a drink or two. It’s the perfect place to spend a relaxing afternoon with friends, but since they stay open until 1.30AM you can go here for some pre-drinks and party too. You can take a look at their site to see what kind of events they are organizing, because there’s always something else to do depending on the season and time of day! If you’d walk by the building (a shopping mall) where this rooftop bar is located, you’d never guess to find such a green oasis slash hipster spot on top – but that kind of makes it more fun now, doesn’t it? You can find the Klünkergarten or Klünkerkranich (they’re confusing me on what name I should use exactly for this spot, but I think those two should have it covered) by going all the way up in the Neukölln Arcaden mall. Also good to know: you pay an entrance fee of about 3 Euros to get in here, and apparently the wait lines can get pretty long sometimes. The good news is they’re not only open during summer – they close at the end of December until February, which still gives you some time to go and check it out!
