RAW-Gelände is best defined as a major playground for adults looking to have a good time.
Well, maybe that sounds wrong but it’s still kind of right. This large site offers several nightclubs, bars and biergartens by night and a place to drink coffee, have a bite and do some vintage shopping by day. The buildings all have a cool industrial feel and are covered in street art, which basically makes it the perfect hipster hangout spot. Oh, and did I mention they have a teledisco here? If you’re not sure what that is, imagine a gold phone booth where you can pick a song to your liking (Wannabe, The Spice Girls – of course), and have about four minutes of disco fun with your girlfriends in a very small space. Maybe it’s good to note that people can hear your singing from the outside, which is something we only realized when we got out and there was a crowd surrounding the booth. Oops. In short, RAW-Gelände is the hangout spot to be, whether it’s during the day or long after the sun has set.
