Considering that the current temperatures are going below zero, it seems kind of absurd that I was wearing only one piece of fabric just a week ago – but that’s really the only thing the weather in Panama will allow you to put on. It is hot, hot, hot and humid there (don’t even think about trying to do anything with your hair, after taking the effort to curl it on one of the first nights it fell flat again after ten minutes) so easy breezy is the only way to go. These pictures were taken in the charming streets of Casco Viejo, a very well-known area in the capital city. This is basically what they call “the old town”, and here you can find a mix of restored and ancient buildings in pastel colors (that is as picturesque as it sounds), with plenty of cute restaurants and shops to enjoy. Even though this spot is really only for tourists (read: quite expensive), it is still absolutely worth a visit. We spent our last days here, strolling the streets, taking too many pictures, drinking cocktails and hanging out on rooftop bars – or you know, the perfect way to end the vacation.
