Imagine a longggg (12km to be exact), pretty much deserted beach with some palm trees and that’s pretty much what Las Lajas is all about. This beach spot is located on the Pacific side of Panama, and it’s pretty much a place where you go to relax. We were there just around New Year, also known as the only day Las Lajas turns into partyville central for the locals. Apparently it is the spot to go and celebrate New Year’s day like there’s no tomorrow. We kinda felt like we ended up at some huge ragga festival by the beach (fun), accompanied by some serious Fast & The Furious vibes (kinda crazy). By that I mean that it seemed to be common to drive (or race) your car / motorbike / whatever kind of vehicle on the beach, which was basically quite packed with people – and I’m pretty sure the drivers weren’t too sober either. One thing’s certain: Panamanians are serious life lovers and die hard party-people!
