Brussels from above

Confession: I suffer from a serious case of wanderlust, and when I go too “long” without taking a trip somewhere I try making that up by playing tourist in my own country. That’s fun, and I know I’m starting to sound like a broken record but it really is worth it to explore the beauty of your own surroundings too. Since I live very close to The Koekelberg Basilica, I pretty much see it every day but yet I never actually went in for a visit. It takes the number five spot in the list of the worlds biggest churches, and offers a beautiful panoramic view over Brussels and beyond – in other words, it was about time I went in and up there myself! This Art Deco monument should definitely be part of your Brussels experience, if you’re planning to visit our lovely city one day. The entrance to the church is free, but you do need to pay 5 Euros to go up and enjoy the view. The outfit then – because I really need to express some love for this look. Maybe it’s because it’s equally comfy like pajamas – maybe I just really like the combination of the striped pants and detail of the rose, but it’s certain that I’m smitten. In conclusion, it’s a perfect, easy and comfy combo for a day of exploring!
