Street art in Bergen

Bergen, Norway is mostly associated with two things: Bryggen, the colored wooden houses by the dock and rain, all throughout the year. One thing you wouldn’t immediately associate with this small, charming city is street art – but nonetheless you can find it scattered all over Bergen, in cute little streets, corners and unexpected places. Street art has become a quintessential part of Bergen over the years – even though there was a time when the municipality washed away the works of Banksy, who was invited here in his early career and was still rather unknown at the time. I’m sure they’re regretting that decision by now, but at least the local artists are proving to be talented enough to brighten up the streets on their own.
